Turkey Burger with Green Beans

Who said healthy couldn't be delicious?!


+ 1lb ground turkey

+ 1 avocado

+ 4 whole wheat sandwich thins

+ 1 jar banana peppers

+ 1 1/2 c green beans

+ 1 head of lettuce

+ 1 drizzle of olive oil

+ seasoning: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika

+ 2 tbsp mustard; honey or dijon

+ 4 slices of cheese


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 420 °; Season green beans with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey and seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder. Form 4 equal sized patties.

Step 3

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan. Cook the burgers, ~5 minutes of each side.

Step 4

While the burgers are cooking prepare the accessories. Toast sandwich thins with cheese. Cut and smash the avocado.

Step 5

Build your burger - Divide the smashed avocado between 4 burgers, add mustard and banana peppers to your liking. Top the burger patty with lettuce and plate with a side of green beans!
