Steak Tip Fried Rice

Healthier option to take out

Ingredients


+ 2 lbs. steak tips

+ 1 cup teriyaki sauce

+ ½ cup onion, diced

+ 2 heads of garlic

+ 2 carrots, cubed

+ 1 cup broccoli florets

+ 2 scallions, chopped

+ 3 eggs

+ 1.5 cups brown rice

+ 2 tbsp soy sauce

+ 1 tsp sesame seeds

+ olive oil

+ black pepper


Directions


Step 1

Marinate the steak tips in teriyaki sauce for at least an hour. Chop your veggies!


Step 2

Bring a 3 cups of water and 1.5 cups of brown rice to a boil, reduce to low and cook for ~20 minutes.

Step 3

Cook the steak tips in a wok or deep skillet. Once cooked, set off to the side.


Step 4

In the same skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil. Add garlic, onion, carrots, and white ends of the scallions. Cook until the onions are translucent. Add broccoli and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.


Step 5

Once the veggies are cooked, pushed them to the side and had the three beaten eggs to the pan. Scramble and mix with the vegetables.


Step 6

Mix in the cooked rice and steak tips. Top with soy sauce, season with pepper, and cook till rice is crispy.


Step 7

Get ready to serve - sprinkle on sesame seeds and green ends of the scallions!
